Families will enjoy a different and unique side of the Hawaiian Islands during this special one-time engagement. With the regular admission price (or FREE for members), guests of Pacific Science Center can:

  1. Learn about modern and ancient Polynesian voyaging, star navigation and wayfinding with the Imiloa Astronomy Center
  2. See The Hawaiian Star Lines planetarium show, the documentary Papa Mau: The Wayfinder, and then journey into fun with moolelo (storytelling), oli and mele nane (short chants and riddles) and other hands-on experiences
  3. Enjoy live Hawaiian music and hula performances by Kauai entertainers Tommy and Malia Tokioka and Celine Piilani Nelsen, and Seattle's own Kalani Kahaialii, Mel Urbanozo and Hula Halau O Moani Mokihana
  4. WHO:
The Hawaii Visitors and Convention Bureau is contracted by the Hawaii Tourism Authority (HTA), the state of Hawaii's tourism agency, for marketing management services in North America. The HTA was established in 1998 to ensure a successful visitor industry well into the future. Its mission is to strategically manage Hawaii tourism in a sustainable manner consistent with the state of Hawaii's economic goals, cultural values, preservation of natural resources, community desires, and visitor industry needs.

As an independent, not-for-profit educational institution, Pacific Science Center inspires a love of science among people of all ages and backgrounds. This event plays an important role in Pacific Science Center's mission by providing access to science, traditions and backgrounds of different cultures for everyone - children, teens and adults.
